Ixora is a flowering shrub in the family Rubiaceae. It is very popular for gardens and landscapes. The plant is a dense, multi-branched evergreen commonly about 4-6 ft in height. It has glossy leathery leaves with entire margins, and are carried in opposite pairs or whorled on the stems. Small tubular, scarlet flowers in dense rounded clusters are produced all year.
