Nolina Palm or Ponytail Palm is a species in the family, Asparagaceae. It is an evergreen perennial with a noticeable expanded caudex, for storing water. The single palm-like stem produces terminal tufts of strap-shaped, recurved leathery leaves. The bark is smooth. The green lineal, slightly rejuvenated and bent leaves are thin, flat or slightly ridged.
