Mogra or Motia is a flowering species of jasmine, in the family Oleaceae. It is evergreen vine or shrub reaching upto 3 meters. The leaves are ovate. The phyllotaxy is opposite or in whorls of three, simple. The flowers bloom all throughout the year and are produced in clusters of 3 to 12 together at the ends of branches. They are strongly scented, with a white corolla. The flowers open at night and close in the morning.
